ORIGINAL HIPSTER
Thank you Lek for this perfect bike tour and the pictures you've made. It was amazing! So we get best impressions from the charming Chiang Mai. We also loved the typical Thai food and tee. We recommend this tour because you'll also see the typical City and not only the touristy things!
Hip History
Trailhead was suggested to us by our hotel. We wanted to get an overview of Chiang Mai and learn a bit about its history. So we chose the ‘Hipster’ ride which was excellent. We were picked up and taken to their shop which offers breakfast and a laid back atmosphere. When we arrived we were served delicious coffee while we filled out our waivers. Lek was our guide, his passion for the city and riding were obvious. We were not confident in the streets with heavy traffic but under his direction it was fairly easy. We had an authentic lunch at a hidden gem of a restaurant which we really enjoyed. Lek took photos for us that we received the next day by email, all in all I would suggest this bike company to others. They were professional, and we felt well cared for. From pick up to drop off, a great experience.
Hipster Chang Mai Bike Tour
My wife and I had the pleasure of experiencing Trailheads' Hipster (that's the name) bike tour through Chang Mais' old city and along the river areas. The tour was great , riding in Chang Mai traffic was a bit dodgy but we felt confident following our excellent tour guide Lek . Lek took us through the river slums , and through the old city where we visited and saw temples , markets and shops as well as stopping for lunch at an out of the way . locals only restaurant which was excellent . Our guide Lek was great , not only friendly and chatty `but also very knowledgeable about the history of Chang Mai , Thailand and Buddhism (he was a monk for seven years) . I would definately recommend this tour to anyone , young or old , who can ride a bike and wants to learn and see more about Chang Mai .
Original Hipster City Tour
We had a morning to kill in Chiang Mai so booked the Original Hipster city tour. We were led by LEK who was a great guide and very knowledgeable of all areas in Chiang Mai including the temples, markets, food, back streets etc etc. This is a great way to see the city and is open to all abilities, especially with the majority of the city being so flat. We had great service from first entering the shop / café and this continued throughout the ride and back to the shop. Note this is also a great café even if you are not riding.
