We organize and facilitate hiking, biking and kayaking trips for Bronze, Silver and Gold level Duke of Edinburgh Awards, offering students a unique opportunity to push themselves and develop important life skills.
The aim of the Duke of Edinburgh Award is to empower young people, providing a safe environment to learn new skills, overcome obstacles, encourage teamwork and build confidence. Skills that are more important now then ever before in today’s fast changing cultural landscape. The Duke of Edinburgh Award is available for all young people aged between 14-24 and can take place over several days. The award is well-renowned, and universities and future employers value it highly.

About the Instructors
Our friendly, experienced guides know Chiang Mai like the backs of their hands. All the local secret spots, the less crowded trails. They’ll make sure everything is running smoothly both on and off trails to make sure you enjoy the trip of a lifetime.
What Kind of Trips do we Offer?
Trailhead Thailand can customize trips offering a variety of activities. We have a fleet of hardtail and full suspension mountain bikes, and can tailor trips for up to 30 participants. Our in-depth knowledge of the trails in the region means that we can cater for every requirement and for all abilities. In addition to this, we offer hiking trips ranging from one day, to several days and provide a range of high end hiking and camping equipment from brands including Helinox, Sea to Summit, Neutral Outdoors and many more. Trailhead Thailand is also the only company in the region to offer kayaking trips on our fleet of folding Oru Kayaks!
The Duke of Edinburgh Award provides new opportunities for students and teaches essential life skills. Students will push themselves in a safe and fun environment and have a memorable experience with Trailhead Thailand.

Participate in our Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award and journey through the Chiang Mai countryside on two wheels over 4 days / 3 nights. Students will experience a range of singletrack, dual track, paved road with plenty of technical challenges along the way on hardtail and/or full suspension mountain bikes!
We’ll stay in national park campsites where students will pitch their own tents and prepare all meals within a safe environment.
Students will be encouraged to navigate their way for the duration of the ride, using a carefully designed mountain biking route specific for school groups, crafted over years of mountain biking experience in the region.

Trailhead Thailand can organize and coordinate the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award on behalf of international schools in Thailand. Choose from trekking or mountain biking using our fleet of high end bikes and equipment. We can provide camping gear if required and help facilitate all aspects of the trip to ensure a smooth and seamless experience.
As well as hiking and biking, we can include visits to various attractions for an additional learning element as well as to enhance the experience for the student.

A special trip for camping and kayaking enthusiasts as we journey for 2 days along Kiw Lom reservoir in Lampang province spending the night under the stars on a secluded bluff with no outside access.
