A dream trip for outdoor adventure enthusiasts exploring thick jungle, deep gorges, and clear waters over 2 days of kayaking on this unique adventure with Trailhead Thailand. Explore parts unknown as you meander your way along a beautiful lake in Lampang province. Spend the night in your own cosy tent on a secluded lakeside bluff with no access other than by boat and enjoy the peace and tranquility as you gaze up at the stars next to a warm camp fire.

ทริปในฝันสำหรับคนสายแอดเวนเจอร์ที่จะได้สัมผัสกับป่าทึบ ผาสูงและน้ำใสตลอดสองวันแห่งการล่องเรือคายัคในการผจญภัยแนวใหม่กับเทรลเฮด ไทยแลนด์ พบกับดินแดนอันมหัศจรรย์ขณะล่องเรือไปในทะเลสาบอันตระการตาของจังหวัดลำปาง แรมคืนในแคมป์ริมฝั่งอันเงียบสงบที่เข้าถึงได้ด้วยเรือเพียงอย่างเดียว ดื่มด่ำกับความสงบเยือกเย็นขณะนั่งนับดาวข้างกองไฟ

DAY

After pick up from the city center, Trailhead Thailand will drive the 90 minutes journey in comfortable transportation to the fascinating temple of Wat Chalerm Prakiat, one of the most unique temples in Thailand which seem to float in the clouds as they sit perched on cliff pinnacles. After lunch and a trip to the market to buy fresh ingredients for dinner we will head to the starting point of the kayaking trip and begin the journey! After kayaking across a wide bay, the mountains rise up as we head into a narrow gorge with steep cliffs either side and dotted with caves, there is even an opportunity to see monkey’s if you’re very lucky! After 2 hours of kayaking we reach the campsite for the evening, an exposed grassy bluff backed by forest with lovely views across the lake and surrounding mountains. Tents, bedding and meals will be provided leaving guests to swim, relax and enjoy their evening under the stars in the peace and serenity of the surroundings. After a delicious dinner cooked over the open fire we will head to bed and prepare for day 2.

จากเมืองเชียงใหม่ เทรลเฮดจะนำคุณเดินทางนานชั่วโมงครึ่งไปยังสถานที่แรก “วัดเฉลิมพระเกียรติ” วัดซึ่งมีชื่อเสียงแห่งหนึ่งในประเทศไทยจากภาพที่ดูประหนึ่งว่าลอยอยู่ในหมู่เมฆเพราะตั้งอยู่บนผาสูง และทิวทัศน์อันงดงามรอบบริเวณ หลังจากนั้นเราจะแวะรับประทานอาหารกลางวันและซื้อวัตถุดิบสำหรับการทำอาหารที่ตลาด แล้วมุ่งหน้าสู่จุดเริ่มต้นพายเรือที่เขื่อนกิ่วลม จังหวัดลำปางเพื่อเริ่มการผจญภัย หลังจากการบรรยายสรุปเรื่องความปลอดภัยแล้ว ทีมของเราจะพูดคุยถึงการเตรียมเรือคายัคโอรู ก่อนจะเริ่มการพายนานประมาณ 2-3 ชั่วโมงในท้องน้ำอันกว้างใหณ่ที่สองข้างทางเป็นเนินเขาสลับทุ่งข้าวโพด และหมู่บ้านชาวประมงที่กระจายตัวอยู่ริมฝั่ง จนถึงแนวผาโอบอันสูงชัน ถ้ำใหญ่น้อยในแนวผาที่อาจจะได้เห็นลิงป่า! คุณจะมีเวลาเหลือเฟือสำหรับการถ่ายรูปและเล่นน้ำที่เย็นฉ่ำ ใสแจ๋ว แวะพักในเกาะแก่งตามลำน้ำก่อนถึงจุดตั้งแคมป์เพื่อพักแรม

แคมป์ไซท์จะถูกจัดเตรียมเรียบร้อยบนเกาะเล็กๆในอ่างเก็บน้ำท่ามกลางทิวทัศน์หลักล้านอันงดงามที่ห้อมล้อมด้วยทิวเขา ในระหว่างที่เราจัดเตรียมอาหารเย็นจะเป็นเวลาให้คุณได้พักผ่อนตามอัธยาศัย ลงเล่นน้ำ ชมพระอาทิตย์ตก และผ่อนคลายใต้แสงจันทร์ ในธรรมชาติอันเงียบสงบ

DAY

We start the day early with a tasty breakfast which includes sausages, eggs, toast and bacon and a delicious hot fresh coffee, before packing away the camping gear and preparing the kayaks for the final leg of the kayaking trip. The trip consists of 2-3 hours of paddling across the smooth water and surrounded by lush forested mountains, stunning karst rock formations and small islets which can be explored. You will have plenty of time for photo opportunities and kayaking remains at a relaxed pace to the end point at the head of the resevoir. The Trailhead team will be there to meet us at the end and after packing away the gear and Oru kayaks we will head back to Chiang Mai, stopping off at a famous noodle restaurant for lunch before we reach the city to conclude a memorable 2 day adventure.

รับอรุณด้วยอาหารเช้าเบาๆ และกาแฟร้อนหอมกรุ่น อุปกรณ์แคมปิงจะถูกเก็บเรียบร้อย ก่อนจะเริ่มการพายช่วงสุดท้าย 2-3 ชั่วโมง บนผืนน้ำที่ราบเรียบ ผ่านแนวป่าที่เขียวชอุ่ม หินที่ถูกกัดเซาะจนเป็นรูปทรงประหลาด ที่เชิญให้คุณไปสำรวจ หลังจากใช้เวลาถ่ายรูปชมธรรมชาติสองข้างทางจนพอใจ ทีมงานที่เหลือของเทรลเฮดจะพบกับคุณที่สันเขื่อนเพื่อเก็บสัมภาระต่างๆ และมุ่งหน้าไปรับประทานอาหารกลางวันก่อนจะเดินทางกลับสู่เชียงใหม่ เพื่อจบทริปการผจญภัยที่น่าจดจำ ไม่เหมือนใคร

What Can I Expect?

Expect gentle kayaking for several hours on a flat lake, no experience is required but confidence in water will enhance the tour enjoyment. We will endeavor to make the overnight camping as comfortable as possible but as with any outdoor adventure you can expect creepy crawlies, inclement weather and ‘rouging it’ conditions. If you need your creature comforts, then this trip may not be for you!

Guests may own their own equipment for camping, and we welcome them to bring it along. Trailhead Thailand in partnership with TANKstore can provide a range of well-known branded equipment however due to the nature of camping trips the following equipment is not included and can be rented at additional cost.

09:00am     Welcome & introduction, complimentary coffee, meet the team and briefing on activities
09:30am     Shop departure
11.30am     Stop off at restaurant for delicious local lunch with temple views
13.00pm     Drive short distance to Wat Chalerm Prakiat and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surroundings
15.00pm     Drive to starting point of the kayaking adventure
15.30pm     Safety briefing and begin the kayaking
16.30pm     Kayak past the monkey bridge, caves and stunning gorge
17:00pm     Arrive at campsite
17:30pm     Set up tents, swim and take photos
18:30pm     Prepare dinner over an open fire and relax for the night

Day 2

08:00am     Light breakfast and fresh coffee cooked over the open fire
09:00am     Pack up the tents and cooking gear
09:30am     Set off for day 2 of the kayaking adventure
10:30am     Kayak along the lake surrounded by stunning forested hills and cliffs
11.45am     Arrive at dam and the end of the kayaking
12.00pm     Pack up the Oru kayaks and gear
12:30pm     Drive back to Chiang Mai city stopping off for a light lunch and local market
15:30pm     Arrive at Trailhead office or hotel which marks completion of the 2 day tour
