The guides really made the trip - Great scenery
The guides were the coolest guys and really made our day out amazing, one was a national Thai champion and was racing the next day (before work haha)! Lots of variety in the terrain. It was a real challenge for me, because I hadn't done any mountain biking before. I had a few mini freak outs on some of the down hill and uphill climbs that were very steep but it was great fun overall! A bit more help before starting understanding gears would have made me feel more confident as a first timer. I wouldn't do Fields of Gold unless you have some half decent fitness or aptitude or confidence in picking up new sports. Great for those that like cross country biking! They have easier options as well.
Good day cycling mixing nice landscapes with excercise
Me and my boyfriend went for the day cycling in the countryside around chiang mai. I really liked that with the tour we had a good view of the countryside around chiang mai and it was quite engaging from a physical point of you. The level of difficulty was right for me ( I'm a beginner). I could have gone few extra miles after lunch, or maybe stopped a bit earlier for lunch and cycle again for the afternoon. Still we really enjoyef the cycle, our guide Mit was very professional and very reliable and the bikes we were given were excellent.
